BIT Sindri continues to move forward with strong momentum across research, innovation, infrastructure, student development, and institutional expansion. As alumni, it is encouraging to see our alma mater growing while BITSAANA continues to play a meaningful role in supporting students, laboratories, and other priority initiatives. The following highlights are based on the latest update shared by BIT Sindri Management and the Dean, Alumni Affairs.

- ₹3.25 Cr Value of ongoing sponsored research
- 120 SCI/Scopus-indexed papers in 2025–26
- 28 Patents granted/published
- ₹2.32 Cr TEXMiN Centre of Excellence project
- ₹39 Cr Proposed investment in 4 new Centres of Excellence
- 75 Laptops provided to students by BITSAANA in 2024
- ₹35 Lakh BITSAANA support for Environmental Laboratory
Major Developments at BIT Sindri - Modern R&D Building completed — 3 floors, 4 wings, 9 lecture halls, meeting rooms and faculty rooms.
- Classroom & Seminar Complex completed with:
- 3 × 300-seat seminar halls
- 6 × 200-seat lecture halls
- 300-seat Computer Centre
- 14 gallery-type classrooms
- Student Activity Centre (SAC) developed with canteen, girls’ common room, commercial facilities and 3 gymnasiums.
- Government of Jharkhand has announced its intention to upgrade BIT Sindri into a Unitary University.
- Four new Centre’s of Excellence are being planned in:
- AI & Machine Learning
- AR & VR
- Drone & Geospatial Technology
- Electric Vehicle Technology
- Additional hostel capacity is also being planned.

BITSAANA — Making a Difference
Over the years, BITSAANA alumni have come together to support initiatives that directly benefit students and strengthen the Institute:
- ₹35 lakh — Environmental Laboratory
- ₹3 lakh — Automation & Robotics Laboratory maintenance
- 75 laptops — distributed to deserving students in 2024
- ₹3 lakh — Institute Name Plaque
- ₹5,000 + shawls — support for ward servants in 2024 and 2025
- Support for Innovathon 1, 2 & 3, ISRO project, and other academic, innovation and entrepreneurship initiatives.
Looking Ahead — BITSAANA Annual Day 2026
As we look toward the November 2026 Annual Day, BITSAANA will soon begin its next Alumni Donation Drive.
This year, our focus will be on a few high-impact priorities identified in coordination with BIT Sindri, including:

Laboratory equipment & renovation
BITSAANA Hall / alumni infrastructure
Student, academic & innovation initiatives
