Greater Los Angeles Chapter celebrated Diwali by having a Sangeet Bhari Shaam on Saturday. October 21. 2017 in Arcadia. California. Nikita and Sanjay Verma (1990 Civil) were the hosts. Twenty five people (including alumni members and guests) were in attendance. Dr. Kamta Rai sang most of songs. and he was ably supported by Shri Vilas Jadav on tabla. (Rai and Jadav are friends of BITS AA NA). A number of participants also sang. The singing session lasted over two hours. The songs included bhajans. classical/semi classical. gazzals. Bhojpuri. Maithili. Tagore song etc. Food was plentiful including several Diwali specialties. Vermas were wonderful hosts. It was a memorable and fun filled evening. Everyone enjoyed it.Thank you Nikita and Sanjay Verma for being the wonderful host.
