2019 East Coast Meet at Indian Consulate, NY
BIT Sindri Alumni association of North America had a reunion on May 4th 2019 at Indian consulate, NYC which was a worthwhile experience for all alumni. It was amazing to see our strong BIT community gathered together, from our 1963 batch to the batch of 2015. Our plans for the future, including visiting BIT, helping BIT Sindri, and continuing to remain active in BITSAANA, were well communicated. We enjoyed seeing our strong alumni presence, and we are looking forward to have this kind of many more gathering in the future.
Program started with BIT Sindri kulgeet.
Ramesh Yadav, President of BITSAA flew from the West Coast to attend the event, and gave us an overview of BITSAANA’s activities and how it is collaborating with BIT administrations for the upliftment of our institute.
We got a wonderful message from BIT Director Dr D K Singh and also got a snapshot of the latest happening in the campus. He added the exciting projects taking place, as well as the ones in the pipelines.
Prabhat Sinha shared the team effort of BIT uplifting under his leadership to make BIT Sindri an Institution of National Importance.
Shailendra Suman shared his initiative of the Thermal Project at BIT Sindri.
Alok Kumar, President FIA showed his support to BITSAANA.
Anil Kumar gave us a review of his fuel technology and all research activities plan for BIT Sindri.
Vinay Singh, president Bihar-Jharkand Association of North America, outlined some simple ideas to aid BIT, even when far away from India. He recalled some funny memories from everyone’s BIT days
Deputy CG Shatrughna Sinha, a BIT alumnus hosted the event in the consulate, and for that we greatly thank him. He was one of the recipients of BITSAA scholarships during his college days.

Thanks to Sudhaker Raj and Sanjay Prasad, who helped with audio/video and photography.
We also thank Rajeev Singh for his entertainment, as our own fellow BITian delighted us with mesmerizing Bollywood hits.
Divyanshu Raj was our talented MC, who did a great job coordinating the whole program.
All BITians are eagerly awaiting the next alumni reunion.
